TorqBaggie So, yes, in answer to your question, I do think Clarke is still trying to find the ideal two wide men...while keeping all players happy

Standaman60 I think Reid has the best chance. Less so the rest. But the extra day helps

I agree with you, I also think those 'natural' wide players offer more cover for the full backs as well.

Chris - found yor marks for last night odd. I thought Jones was awful on both sides of the park. He's a liability. Dorrans was ineffective as well - he's nt th player he was. Mulumbu carried the midfield. Thorne was a great dsappointment as well.

Do you think last night showed how important the midfield 3 of Mulumbu, Jacob & Morrison are?
by TorqBaggie9/27/2012 11:28:30 AM
The team didn't get a tackle in after Foster's error - Liverpool strolled around unopposed. For the second goal, the midfield opened up like the Red Sea. If Albion play so limp-wristedly v Villa, we'll get a tonking.

Hailpantani - fair enough all about opinions. I felt Jones did as well as he could given he's not a naturally left-sided defender (which is what I judged him on really). He got six, which is a fairly low mark by our marks. Dorrans got 5..which reflects your view.

Torqbaggie, of course - those three vital
by chrislepkowski9/27/2012 11:29:14 AM
hailpantani - yes, can't argue with that. Sahin was able to instigate and finish the move without opposition. Difference in quality came through

Are there any more quick questions for Chris before he goes?

How are the dami working between Clarke, Downing & Keen. Are their any signs that ne of the Assistants is becoming more "second in command" than the other

Respect all opinions Chris -and I'm not usually into slagging players off - but Jones has showed time and again he's not got it and panics. Dorrans has been accomodated for far too long - he adds nothing but a number when he's on the field.

Bubble - seems to be a good chemistry and working relationship between all 4 coaches. Not detected, seen or heard otherwise
