Reilly has gone very well this season, and he has an upside, he can improve aspects of his game. He is out of contract in the summer but the club have an option. Certainly, Lee Clark has no plans to sell him. The summer will see a lot of important issues come to a head, most notably the financial health of the club and the ownership.

Soz Tatts man. You da bomb

David, I think Blues have shown that, yes, they can stop silly mistakes, sloppiness and can keep sheets the last two matches and even before they have given us the evidence, in patches, that they should be higher up the table. They have been as inconsistent as many teams in the division and as for a points tally that will be sufficient, it's hard to call as it is so tight from 10th to the relegation zone. I would think, though, that five or six wins should be enough to ensure they are not in a dogfight at the business end of the campaign

Play-offs? Highly doubtful judging on the evidence over the course of the season so far. It is a very odd league, Middlesbrough have lost seven of their last nine. Just shows you

The BIHL accounts are supposed to be out mid-March. Supposed to be . . .

King has had a chronic knee problem since the day he signed. It was no secret then and he missed the first couple of months of last season remember. Hopefully it is manageable for the remainder of the season but obviously at present he seems to have taken a turn for the worst
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:11:36 PM
JohnR, I always believe that tactics influence a game but ultimately players' performance wins it or loses it. Clark's tactics and selections have been a mixed bag all season and for everything that we can point to being 'wrong', there are other instances we can point to being 'right'.
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:13:51 PM
Thanks for that, i agree we should have had more goals against posh , i dont think they have gone many games without scoring this season so was they poor infront of goal like many clarke doubters have said or did blues actually shown some guile , JB was definatly my motm against posh, Wade was definatly a unsung hero of the game aswell for me this season i think one of the biggest improvments has been wade, what is your opinion on this , i think the most under achiever this season is Nath, also what would be your opinion on this ?
by David Carter2/26/2013 12:14:04 PM
Colin - is there any chance Zigic will be here next season as well?
by Wazza2/26/2013 12:14:11 PM
daddyblue, I've said and written before that I've not known another Blues manager for 20-odd years who has got picked up for everything and anything, with a negative slant
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:15:19 PM
Elliott has been better this season than last, I agree. Probably that has come with more regular starts.
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:16:12 PM
Steve, if a takeover doesn't happen in the close season, or looks likely - and at present there is no strong interest from what I can gather; people are waiting and watching - then the consequences could be very grave.
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:17:21 PM
Homes, how good be this Kobey fella?
by Dave W2/26/2013 12:18:09 PM
Hi Colin. Is the atmosphere improving at Stans?
by Dan Humphage2/26/2013 12:18:10 PM
What do you think the best midfield partnership is??
by Jacob2/26/2013 12:18:13 PM
Scoobers, Clark and the club are beginning to formulate plans in regards to contracts for next season and I know he also has got players in mind to come in on Bosmans (the budget, if the present regime somehow cling on, will be slashed). Over the next few weeks the issue over who is or isn't re-engaged should become clearer.
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:19:07 PM
The reason Clark has had so many 'negative slants' is due to the fact he had 'massive boots' to fill following Chris Hughton and has no pedigree compared to CH either.. You must agree with that Colin surely?
by Lee Beau Blue2/26/2013 12:19:19 PM
Koby Arthur has made big progress in a few months. The manager and the coaches I have spoken to like him a lot, his ability, attitude and willing.
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:21:03 PM
Cheers Sir, I've dusted my boots down just in case I'm needed !
by Scoobers2/26/2013 12:21:18 PM
when the close of the season is upon us .. do blues get money from the league for tv rights ect ect ect , would this be enough to keep us floating as a going concern or can you see from your experience more sales? !!
by David Carter2/26/2013 12:21:22 PM
Following Hughton was always going to be tough, for any manager. Let's not forget Hughton got out for a reason, too. And obviously, Hughton has more experience in the coaching/management side.
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:22:14 PM
How do you think Lee Clark would evaluate his season?
by Wazza2/26/2013 12:23:13 PM
Who has been the standout performer for you this season?
by Paul Turner2/26/2013 12:23:14 PM
Whether Blues will continue as a 'going concern' in the summer remains to be seen. Clearly they have managed to juggle finances in order that the club can meet its requirements to the season's end. After that, anyone's guess. But as I mentioned earlier, in my opinion if there is no ownership change/investment, it could be grim.
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:23:44 PM
Wazza, not good enough
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:24:12 PM
Colin I watched the CArling Cup on Sunday and wondererd where it all went wrong. Where did it all go wrong??
by Dan Humphage2/26/2013 12:25:41 PM
It's a difficult one to say who has been the standout performer this season as I don't think anyone has been consistently good. Davies and Caldwell, for instance, are in good form now but weren't at the start. Same for Burke. Elliott, though, has probably given a decent level all told
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:26:10 PM
5 Minutes left. Any late questions?
by Birmingham Mail2/26/2013 12:26:16 PM
Dan, how long have you got? I think we've done that to death as well, in the recent past..
by Colin Tattum2/26/2013 12:26:38 PM
Did you chat to Barry Fry? If so what did he say?
by Wazza2/26/2013 12:27:24 PM
Do you thinks we can go up next season?
by Dave W2/26/2013 12:27:25 PM
No, I didn't see Barry on Saturday. Can Blues go up next season? Be unlikely unless there is summer change
Rail operator Virgin Trains has been asked to continue running the troubled West Coast Main Line for another few months, the Government said today.
