Afternoon all, sorry for the delay. Awful technical issues
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:14:48 PM
Hi Colin - whats the feeling at Blues after the transfer window shut? Is it positive or negative
by JKB812/5/2013 12:14:51 PM
i wondered what was going on then, i was about to say something to do with lack of investment ; )
by Bluemat2/5/2013 12:16:06 PM
Feeling post window is definitely a positive. I think most of us were led to believe two, three or four players would go. Obviously, that was not the case and I think it has given everyone a lift.
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:16:08 PM
Has there been any contact from Hong Kong regarding when the accounts will be published so they can sell the club
by Blues Dave2/5/2013 12:16:39 PM
Hi Colin Do you think iw would be better to go into admin before 4th march and take the 10pt hit this season. This way I think we could stay up and start afresh in the championship next season with new owners.
by Sir Alex Mcleish2/5/2013 12:16:54 PM
The BIHL accounts are supposedly due out around March, end of
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:17:30 PM
i think both fans and players/managers are desperate for the season to kick on from here but both are waiting for each other to spark it. Irony is everyone has to come together for it to work.
by Bluemat2/5/2013 12:17:44 PM
Also I think new owners are waiting for us to go into admin to pick the club up cheaply.
by Sir Alex Mcleish2/5/2013 12:17:51 PM
To be honest, I don't think administration would be good for the club, full stop. At present, it seems as if there is enough money there to see things through to the end of the season, otherwise there would have been three or four players sold.
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:18:30 PM
Colin, Whats the feeling like around the club itself is the dark cloud of uncertainty having an affect on everyone behind the scenes?
by Roger2/5/2013 12:18:43 PM
look at other teams who take a 10 point hit its not an easy way out
by Blues Dave2/5/2013 12:19:04 PM
People behind the scenes have just got on with it best they could, all season. But definitely there has been a lifting of pressure and some of the uncertainty now the window has closed
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:20:03 PM
I'm so glad we kept Davies and Marlon KIng, dread to think where we would end up without them.
by Sir Alex Mcleish2/5/2013 12:20:10 PM
Do you think we will be deducted the 10 points?
by C2/5/2013 12:20:15 PM
I think we could take a 10pt hit this season and still stay up.
by Sir Alex Mcleish2/5/2013 12:20:16 PM
It makes you wonder what all the talk about was now from pannu. maybe he was expecting outrageous bids for davies, redmond etc that never came so thought best to recoup and go again in summer?
by Bluemat2/5/2013 12:20:22 PM
I think had Blues lost that pair, yes, could have been curtains
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:20:40 PM
What is your view on Wes Thomas I know its early days but has he got potential to be a good signing
by Blues Dave2/5/2013 12:20:59 PM
Is Wes Thomas our new Cameron Jerome?
by Sir Alex Mcleish2/5/2013 12:21:38 PM
I think, Bluemat, that PP was always targeting Butland's sale and if other clubs matched valuations of Davies eg (£4m) they would have gone. But it does seem like just one wedge was needed to help the cashflow to the season's end
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:21:47 PM
With the ownership situ in the air, and Blues not being safe from relegation when do you think Blues will start looking at the huge amount of players out of contract in the summer? Surely they will have to hold on to some of them?
by almajir2/5/2013 12:21:59 PM
Wes Thomas is quick, eager, still relatively raw. It's a big move and step up for him only time will tell
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:22:22 PM
are there any names been talked about as regards loan deals
by Blues Dave2/5/2013 12:23:05 PM
The contract issue is a massive one. I am sure Lee Clark already has his thought but I would guess that until there is more clarity on the ownership issue, nothing can be done for certain. Indeed, not all can just go, some have to be retained, especially the ones with options
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:23:41 PM
I hope we can sign Caddis and Clark can find some good young players next season as we will need them.
by Sir Alex Mcleish2/5/2013 12:23:42 PM
Whats the wage bill like, I've heard rumours that we have the biggest in the championship?
by C2/5/2013 12:23:46 PM
What are the chances of getting Odemwingie on loan?
by Thongs2/5/2013 12:24:01 PM
No loans have been mentioned yet. Not certain whether Blues will now go into the loan market, as they held onto players pre window. Also, you can only have 5 loan players in the matchday 18, so to stockpile more wouldn't be that great an idea
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:24:36 PM
hi colin, just wanted to say how pleased i am about the transfer window and now we havnt really lost anyone for this season we can now kick on and climb up the table which im sure we will do.the play offs aint that big a gap so EVERY1 get behind our beloved club and support LC and the boys.the more we back, the better we play, simples
by riverpoenix2/5/2013 12:24:41 PM
@thongs same chance as Mcleish coming back as assistant manager
by Sir Alex Mcleish edited by Birmingham Mail2/5/2013 12:25:12 PM
Any chance of Marlon King or Curtis Davies leaving on loan?
by Lord Cheeseman2/5/2013 12:25:19 PM
Odemwingie's sat nav doesn't have the Wast Hills postcode
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:25:26 PM
In regard loan outings, would make no sense considering Blues rejected loans/bids for Davies on deadline day. Again, it has to be assumed that finances are sufficient for club to continue to season's end at least, therefore no need to loan people out to save on wages.
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:26:24 PM
Are you surprised Eck has gone?
by almajir2/5/2013 12:26:40 PM
Was good to see a positive St. Andrew's on Saturday. Fans believed, they united to have a go at 'Eck and Lee Clark got a day off - see what happens when you get behind a team and not moan at the manager etc!?
by chrisquinn32/5/2013 12:26:44 PM
Colin, Do you see Wolves getting relegated, IMO the best business we did was selling Johnson to them and he's on 40k a week!
by Sir Alex Mcleish2/5/2013 12:26:52 PM
that's loan out goings
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:26:59 PM
Not surprised Eck has gone, no. We were told that it was likely on Friday but he didn't want to duck coming back to St Andrew's and there were legal issues to sort out with Forest owners before he would/could walk
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:27:44 PM
What is our wage bill like? biggest in the championship?
by C2/5/2013 12:27:45 PM
collin why clark play wade elliott in the centre of midfield more regular? he is the most technically gifted player we have and won 2 in a row with him
by daniel thomas2/5/2013 12:29:09 PM
Blues wage bill was £45m in PL relegation season. Then it dropped to around £23m. It has probably come down from that for this season. Whether it is the biggest in the Championship, I don't know. But with Zigic's salary alone, that obviously would make it more than many
by Colin Tattum2/5/2013 12:29:59 PM
when is fahey back?the sooner the better
by riverpoenix2/5/2013 12:30:02 PM
Prediction for Saturday, Tatts? Fancy a third win on the spin!
