In regard to the Paladini-Briatore story, there is definite interest but I wouldn't get too carried away thinking they are going to be Blues new owners

Just trying to find out if they have made a formal bid for the club but, from what I can gather at this stage, I don't think Carson Yeung/Peter Pannu are taking them hugely seriously and it has not got to a stage whereby the two parties are locked in talks or anything like that.

There are, I understand, other interested parties - identities unknown - who are monitoring developments. Basically, the current regime probably believe they can get £30m - £40m for the club but that is not going to happen

Lee Clark has said himself that he was pleasantly surprised to be able to sign Leroy Lita on loan. He was working to the 'one out, one in' edict, but another striker after Adam Rooney's 'loan swap' was deemed a special case

Otherwise the manager is to go with what he has, doubt if he has any other choice. I would be surprised if there are any other loan signings to come in, unless there were a raft of serious injuries

As for Curtis Davies, another wait and see. My guess would be that he plays what he considers to be his best players/centre-back combination so that would mean Davies and Stephen Caldwell.

There is no option to buy Paul Caddis. Such matters will be discussed further down the line, as and when. It was a case of both clubs wanting to get the respective loans done and dusted first and foremost. Certainly, Lee Clark rates Caddis highly and he would probably buy him tomorrow if he had the resources

Carson Yeung is prepared to sell the club at the right price. Peter Pannu wrote in the programme that he was advising him and BIHL to do so, if it was in Blues best interests, which clearly it is
